Celebrate coffee excellence with a true standout from Africa's premier coffee competition. This exceptional lot secured 6th place overall in the prestigious African Fine Coffees Association (AFCA) Taste of Harvest competition. Competing against 232 elite entries evaluated by an international panel of judges, this coffee represents the pinnacle of classic, clean Ethiopian profiles.

This coffee is grown in the fertile, high-altitude clay soils of the Banko Chelchele kebele (village) within the Gedeb/Kochere district of Yirgacheffe. It represents the hard work of local smallholder farmers who cultivate tiny plots of land shaded by native trees like Albizia and Acacia. At a breathtaking elevation of 1,950 to 2,200 meters above sea level, the coffee cherries mature slowly, packing them with dense sugars and complex, elegant flavor precursors.
💧 Processing and Quality Grade
  • The Variety: 100% Ethiopian Heirloom (specifically the high-quality 74110 selection), celebrated for its intense floral complexity.
  • The Grade: Grade 1 (G1), the highest classification awarded to Ethiopian coffee, indicating meticulous sorting by hand to eliminate any physical defects.
  • The Process: Fully Washed & Slow-Dried. The cherries are immediately pulped and naturally fermented for 36–48 hours to strip away the mucilage. After being washed with crisp, clean running water, the parchment coffee is transferred to raised African drying beds. It is dried slowly over several days in the shade, allowing the moisture to stabilize perfectly, resulting in an incredibly crisp and clean cup.
